In 2017, Mr. Kassegn joined the MK Law, P.A. as a partner. Prior to serving the State of Florida for three-years, Mr. Kassegn was an associate at a Miami boutique firm where he litigated various cases, including employment discrimination, torts, and foreclosure defense. Mr. Kassegn was also the In-House Counsel to VMR products, a successful startup company in Miami, Florida with millions in revenue and clients all over the world. Prior to joining MK Law, P.A., Mr. Kassegn represented hundreds of individuals across the State of Florida in both State and Federal court, litigating over 40 jury and bench trials. Mr. Kassegn practices Immigration law, criminal defense, white collar crime defense, family law, and civil litigation.
In law school, Mr. Kassegn was a certified legal intern at the Miami Dade State Attorney's Office where he participated in bench and Jury trials. Mr. Kassegn was also a member of the Willem Vis Moot Team,
where he competed in oral arguments in Vienna, Austria, and a member of the Foreign Direct Investment Moot Team, which also competed worldwide. He is the founding member of his school's Dade County Bar Association and the International Arbitration Society.
